Esplore
Esplore are accessible restaurants created by ILUNION Retail. The philosophy of Esplore restaurants is based on accessibility. For this reason, Esplore restaurants have been designed with design criteria for all and are perfectly adapted to all disabilities. Likewise, their employees receive specific training to meet the specific needs of clients with disabilities, such as guiding and informing users who are blind people, who travel in a wheelchair or who have a hearing disability.
More than 70% of Esplore employees have disabilities.
Esplore restaurants are fully accessible. People with disabilities can enjoy equal conditions inside these premises.
The main features that guarantee the complete accessibility of ESPLORE are the following:
- Entrance with automatic system and ramp: the entrance has an automatic door that facilitates access to users.
- Double height bar: with an adapted attention space in which the frontal approach of a person in a wheelchair or people with other needs can be performed.
- Accessible toilets: for people in wheelchairs. They have a folding support bar on the side of the toilet space and a fixed support bar on the opposite side.
- Magnetic Loop: reduces background noise significantly, improving intelligibility for deaf people using hearing aids compatible with this system. In this way, they perceive sound information in a cleaner way, without distortions.
- The menu is available in Braille: this improves the independence and autonomy of blind people, since they can read, without needing help from third parties, the ESPLORE menu.
- Accessible cutlery: the cutlery that is put to all the diners are covered with a tactile characteristic that makes that its position is easily identified, making more comfortable the task of eating to the people with visual disability.
- Beepcons: the beepcon is an intelligent beacon of interior guidance that allows blind people to move around the premises and know where the toilets or the bar are with total autonomy. Through the mobile they can download the application and the device notifies them with a beep or vibration of where there is a beacon and once they accept it, it tells them how to go to that place or object.
