The owners of the famous"Tampu", Melina Salinas and Miguel Angel Valdiviezo, have inaugurated a new Peruvian restaurant in Madrid. It is called "The Cevicuchería" and is in the CalleTéllez 20. A lovely local born as "Gastrobar" with the intention of giving life to the bar so as to mesas. La Cevivuchería is a Peruvian restaurant serving specialties of Peruvian ceviches, Tiraditos and Antichuchos in a relaxed and fun atmosphere without sacrificing quality.
The cuisine at La Cevicuchería is based on traditional recipes of Peru to which is added an unmistakable creative touch and a careful presentation of dishes, from French culinary chef training.
As a starter we recommend the scallops and sweetbreads Chuculum flambéed. The scallop shell be served with stuffed potato yellow and spicy seafood with mizarella and parmesan, passed through the grill.
The menu starring is the ceviches and it they are divided into two categories: classic and Chef personal ceviches, where the chef shows his creativity. The best ceviche is the one with grouper and black sea bass. The clásico ceviche is delicious and can be served with hot pepper sauce, powerful and fresh. On the ceviches author highlights the "clay" with bass, prawns and mussels, plus chili pepper that gives it a dark color. All on a fried corn tortilla, typical of northern Peru.
As for tiraditos, we recommend two: The "Serrano" is excellent and comes with huacatay and crispy black quinoa, beans and corn. The other super recommended is the "Olive" which comes with an octopus with cream Peruvian black olives and crispy quinoa.
Finally we have the anticuchos. The anticucho is very popular and conquers all who dare to try. They are marinated and grilled beef skewers. The most traditional is the heart of beef. Also noteworthy is the anticucho "pituco" tasty beef tenderloin.
As aside dishes you can always order huancaína cream with fried yucca, rice and fried potatoes.
The desserts are exquisite and include the famous and very seet Suspiro Limeño sigh and lemon pie. Both are spectacular.
You can not miss the famous "Pisco Sour" with original and fresh proposals with aromas and flavors that take us to the popular markets of Lima. Cusco beer is also served.
Access to the restaurant is easy and flat for people in wheelchairs, although there is a small step to enter the restaurant. The staff will help you if you require assitance. The bathroom is not accessible as there are two steps to get there.
