Anthony & the Johnsons - "Swanlights" at Teatro Real in Madrid

The Teatro Real in Madrid presents the first performances of Antony and The Johnsons in Madrid: Swanlights ? a remarkable meditation on light, nature and femininity. There are three upcoming concerts that will take place 19, 20 and 21 of July in Madrid.

Antony & The Johnsons is probably the best melancholy band nowadays. The music is heartbreaking, uplifting, intriguing and unique, with lyrics so personal and eye-opening that it's impossible not to become immersed in Antony's troubled world. Often performing as a chamber group with strings, acoustic guitar and Antony at the piano, their live performances are intimate and hushed, giving plenty of space for Antony's soaring vocals to take centre stage. Antony, as he prefers to be called, has worked with artists such as Lou Reed, Joan as Policewoman, Carice Van Houten and Björk, among others. His is a career full of hits that he will review during this concert at the Teatro Real.

The best music of 'Antony and the Johnsons', including songs like 'The Crying Light, 'Swanlights' and 'I Am a Bird Now', is what you'll find at this concert that the British group is giving with the Teatro Real Orchestra.
