On Saturday May 17 the Night of Museums is celebrated with a special opening. On Sunday May 18 the International Museum Day will be celebrated too. The city of Madrid will organize activities for all ages to enjoy the International Museum Day. Here you can find a some tips and a summary of the various workshops and cultural activities that take place in Madrid:
MUSEO NACIONAL CENTRO DE ARTE REINA SOFIA
Open Day on May 17th and 18th with Guided tours every hour from opening, beginning 10:30 AM. Maximum 25 people/visit. Free admission with limited capacity.

On Sunday 18th at 19:00 - Imagining Miró. Concert and audiovisual show by Ignasi Terraza Trio. Free admission prior ticket collection at the museum box office from 05/ 05 and until half an hour before activity. Maximum two tickets per person .

MUSEO SOROLLA
Tales of the past. Reading traditional medieval tales along with live music and illustration related to the regions represented by Sorolla in panels decorating the library of the Hispanic Society of New York.
On Saturday 17th at 18:00 and 19:00 ( two passes ). Ages 12 years 911 774 424 bookings.
Guided visits to the Museum. Guided tour with stories of Sorolla's work .
Four passes on Saturday 17th, at 17:30 h , 18:30 h , 19:30 h and 20:30h. Free entrance.
Day of collective creativity. Visitors can paint with watercolors on a large mural on canvas, the issue revolves around the murals Sorolla for the Hispanic Society of New York.
On Sunday 18th, May from 11:00 h to 14:00 h. Open to the public, no reservation.
I tell you my favourite painting. The Boys Association ARGADINI (integration of people with intellectual disability and autism spectrum disorder through knowledge of art and fostering creativity) explain to visitors the different paintings.

On Saturday 17th "FLASHBACK TO XIX. SCENES FROM THE PAST", National Museum of Romanticism proposes a journey back in time to relive the nineteenth century in all its glory. Everyone, activities with free entrance to all seats .
On Saturday 17th 20:30 to 24:00 - "19th Century Last Fashion" in the halls of the Museum access C/ San Mateo 13. Historical Recreation Club End of the Century with ladies dressed in the latest fashion of the nineteenth and gentlemen who will "romantic" to the palace life
At 21:00h, 22:00h, 23:00h - Bowling Dance Show in the Auditorium of the Museum of Romanticism (access C/ Beneficiencia 14). Everyone, repositories served basis (tickets will be delivered 30 min . Special opening free on Saturday 17th from 20:00 to 24:00. You will have the chance to see the new permanent exhibition halls with new areas opened for the first time that night, Noble Chambers with its tapestries, baroque organ and coffered realejo, recently renovated and the monumental main staircase.
