Tarita´s Travel Connections. Travel for all.

Tarita´s Travel Connections. Travel for all.

We would like to introduce you to Tarita Davenock. Tarita is an excellent person, a great entrepreneur in the accessible travel industry and the owner of Tarita's Travel Connections.

Tarita was born into travel. Though her parents are from the beautiful green isles of Fiji, she started life in the UK and moved shortly thereafter to Canada, living in various small British Columbia towns and ending up in lovely Lantzville. As a woman of Indian descent, she speaks English and Hindi fluently while also being able to converse in Punjabi and Gujarati very well. she loves people of all cultures, and loves bringing other cultures to those who are yearning to see them.

At the age of 29, Tarita was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and was struck with the realization that her life would never be the same. Knowing that her best way forward was to take hold of that life and ensure that its direction was one of her own choosing, that the MS was not going to control her future, she seized on a passion for travel she had nursed since childhood. Some years have pass now and Tarita has found her place as an expert in creating dream vacations for those who thought dream vacations were for other people. As a Certified Special Needs Travel Advocate, she takes great pride in ensuring that, regardless of your level of mobility or ability, you will have the experience of a lifetime.

Tarita's "leitmotiv" is that travel should be Inclusive, not Exclusive. At her travel agency they arrange vacations for those with various special needs; deaf, blind, walkers, wheelchair, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, and Down Syndrome, etc. for adults and children to wherever they dream of visiting. Her company arranges tailored vacations that accommodate their specific needs, arrange various transportation; flights, trains, bus etc. I can also look after their travel insurance needs.

For Tarita is evident that the media and travel suppliers need some education on what is needed to accommodate the special needs travel niche. Perhaps this is her 'calling' in life to create a conversation demanding inclusion in travel.

Her website at Tarita's Travel Connections shares a bit about Tarita and her acessible journeys as well as highlights some fantastic accessible travel destinations. There are specific tours as well as various videos showing trips for specific needs; blind, deaf, and wheelchair travel.
